Wrestling Team Mission and Service Project
The wrestling team will be traveling to Guatemala City, Guatemala in May after the semester is done.
We will be partnering with AIA Wrestling, a Christian sports ministry. Athletes in Action (AIA) has been using the powerful medium of athletics for over 50 years to impact the world for Jesus Christ. AIA runs sports ministry through hosting camps and competitions throughout the world. The wrestling ministry at AIA regularly partners with local wrestling clubs to run high level camps and tournaments. As a part of these athletic events the team will build relationships with Guatemalan wrestlers and have the chance to share testimonies of what Jesus has done in our lives with those athletes. When the wrestling team has attended in the past, we held wrestling clinics for inner city kids, trained alongside Guatemalan athletes at their Olympic training center, and served the local church in ongoing ministry with local orphanages and outreach ministries.
We are looking forward to having a great opportunity to be a part of this ongoing ministry in Guatemala!
