AROMA Zambia Trip

Donor Image
Athletes from several different teams will be going on an AROMA international trip to Zambia, August 4th-16th. The team will be visiting Zambia in partnership with Project 1151 and the Macha Sport and Learning Program, who AROMA has been working with for over a decade. MSLP was started by Messiah alum, Eric Thuma (’00). Recently, their family has returned to the US and turned the ministry completely over to the Zambian staff. The AROMA team will travel back with the Thuma family to work alongside the MSLP staff to both assist with their regular weekly programming, as well as provide some specific help and encouragement in areas where we bring specific needed expertise. This will include, but not be limited to, assisting with their after-school program, doing sports clinics and giving water filter demonstrations. MSLP runs a community center where our team will invest a lot of time loving and playing with the kids that regularly participate. The team hopes to be an encouragement, to learn, and to experience God’s glory in a different part of the world.
